Microsoft band is here, but are you interested?

Microsoft launches the Microsoft band which pushes the company in the fitness tracking and smartwatch zone

The tech giant came out with a little device which looks like a black band and its actually called the band which functions as a fitness tracking device and also as a  smartwatch. The real news is that Microsoft has big plans in the wearable segment and this is just a start of it

The band is similar to the galaxy gear fit but without the curved display. The interface is really a tile based with the taken designer cues from its windows phone os. These simple tiles show you your recent text messages, emails and call notifications but it is customizable to your liking.

It has 10 different types of sensors embedded into it to track various fitness parameters. A lot of data which will interest you, has been compressed into this tiny device. The coolest thing about the band is that it will work with iphone and android phones besides microsoft’s own windows phone.

If you are new to the fitness system, the band will also tell you which type of workout you will need with the precise exercise, it’s like your personal gym instructor. You can even have voice control if you have a windows phone. I would say it’s more a fitness device although some smartwatch features are included. It will cost you $199 an is available now
