Two different phones from different eco system battle it out
for the best phablet phone this year and the note 4 clearly seems to have the
edge.
First of all note 4 trumps the iphone 6 plus with its
excellent s pen which has customization option more than ever. Samsung literally
invented this category so it has clear lead in it. The second strong feature is
the 2k display which measures at 5.7 inches compared to 5.5 inches of full hd
iphone display.
As far as built quality is concerned, note 4 now has metallic
body similar to the iphone but with an added advantage of a removable plastic
back cover to access the battery, sim card and the micro sd card which is used
to add additional memory.
Now to the operating system, Samsung releases its phone with
the latest android os but is notoriously slow in upgrading it once the phone is
releases. The note 4 runs android 4.4.4 with a promised upgrade to lollipop. The
touchwiz interface runs on top of it. The customization option of the os
remains one of the strength of note 4.
The editing of documents and videos, taking notes with the s
pen, clipping web pages and images are a part of note 4. My favorite remains
the hand writing recognition feature where you can simply write on your phone. Having
a larger screen than the iphone 6 plus, the foot print of the phone is smaller
than the iphone making it holding in hand and using a much more comfortable
experience. The camera is on par with the iphone but with an added advantage
that you can shoot 4k resolution videos. Cool..............
having said that, iphone 6 plus is an excellent phone which offers best features in the apple eco system which is precious.
