samsung GEAR S is a mini smartphone strapped to you wrist

With the apple watch nowhere in sight, this samsung gear s is set to take the smartwatch quest forward with its innovative features.

Samsung has done it again; it has followed its pervious patters and has increases the size of the display on its smartwatch to the next level at 2 inches that is also AMOLED and curved. The good news is that now you will actually able to type on a screen that also displays much information opening up a world of opportunities.

The bad news is that this watch runs on Samsung home grown tizen os instead of android, but it can still pair up with an android phone. Surprisingly, this smartwatch works better than android wear enabled smartwatches such as moto 360.

The design will be familiar to Samsung smartphone users. The watch appears to be a bit bulky and with specifications such as 512 mb ram, 4 gb of rom and a compelling processor, its matches galaxy s2 in hardware segment. The ip67 rating given to the device makes it water and dust resistant. The battery will disappoint you with lit powering the device for less than a day

With the heart rate monitor and other sensors, this watch also acts as a fitness tracker. Paired with a recent Samsung smartphone, you will be able to make and receive calls and text messages but that is not a smooth experience. With an asking price of around $400, it’s a premium device

This is the closest thing you get to a smartphone without a smartphone, with its own 3g and Bluetooth, this device has shown a lot of potential n=but still not a smartphone replacement.
